Both have lived on St. George Island for 31 years. Mason Bean came to the island and started a construction company, which he had for 15 years, and has been selling real estate since. Marilyn Bean came from an Interior Design career and has been in real estate on the island for the last 29 years.
Because of their building experience they offer a special talent for site selection, permitting, remodeling ideas, or any other questions our clients might have.
They have invested in the Island with vacation rental property, as well as, commercial real estate. Their personal experience with 1031 TAX DEFERRED EXCHANGES has also helped many of their buyers and sellers.
Both have received the CENTURY 21 CENTURION® Award, one of the highest levels of recognition given to top producing sales associates in the CENTURY 21 system. Mason & Marilyn continue to be a top producing team for the Franklin & Southen Gulf Counties Realtor Association. Mason was voted the 1997 Realtor of the Year and Marilyn was voted the 1999 Realtor of the Year, an honor bestowed upon them by their professional peers. Mason was honored with the "2000 Citizen of the Year" award from the St. George Island Civic Club.

candace@century21collinsrealty.com | | Both have lived on St. George Island for twelve years. Candace is a native Floridian who grew up on the northeast coast of Florida in Atlantic Beach. She has also lived in Ponte Vedra Beach, Tampa, and Key Biscayne. Rick is a native Texan who moved to Panama City, FL in 1974.
Previously, both Rick and Candace practiced law. Candace took her BS in Visual Arts from Florida State University and her JD from Stetson University College of Law. She began her legal career as a law clerk to the Chief US Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida. In private practice , she was a civil litigator. In addition to her trial practice, she closed many real estate transactions for a savings and loan association. Later, she became one of the state's early Ceritfied Mediators and mediated hundreds of cases throughout the State of Florida.
Rick took his BA in English from The University of Texas at Austin and his JD from Emory. He practiced law in Panama City for seven years. His practice included construction litigation, probate and title work. The political bug bit him in the late seventies and early eighties and he was involved in two presidential campaigns and three gubernatorial campaigns. He has lobbied state government for over twenty years for the construction industry and was the founding chairman of the Construction Coalition. The coalition is a group of over thirty statewide trade associations in the construction industry.
Candace and Rick have lived in the Plantation for eleven years. Rick served as president of the Plantation Owners Association for two terms. He is the president of the Museums of Florida History Foundation, and a graduate of Leadership Florida, Class V.
Their extensive travels throughout Florida gave them an appreciation for the exceptional value of St. George Island real estate.
